Even more so since the man hasn't attacked him. Not that it makes the shisa doubt Hakkai could be dangerous like this, but-- at least it means he's still got quite some sense in him, at least. ]
It did not seem to be a problem back then.

[When this is over, when he's ... fixed, for lack of a better word, he'll apologize to Daniel. And his omen. His tone and behavior here absolutely necessitates an apology. The man hasn't done anything wrong, but worry over someone that doesn't deserve such concern.]
[But right now, it doesn't seem like there will be an "over".]
I have ways of ... dealing with the problem. This place has seen fit to circumvent them.

The creature doesn't reply right away. It just watches Hakkai, still calm, not even its tail swishing back and forth the way it usually does. Instead it seems to be deep in thought. ]
There could be alternatives. Even if your problem might be unique to your world, people who come from other worlds could have solutions you never thought of before.
No problem is ever truly unsolvable, Hakkai. Not when you handle it together with others.
[ That does sound like something Daniel would say, huh. Maybe it's a sign of the fact that the Omen still is a part of Daniel, despite sounding completely different, and being way better at actually remaining calm, even in the face of this. The Omen definitely knows Daniel is somewhere off fussing big time about all of this, even as the Omen itself is so calm. ]
no subject
[He doesn't. Pure and simple.]
With others is purely the problem. I cannot... be near them. People.
[Not like this.]
[That is far easier to explain than the pile of guilt and self-loathing. Try to make Daniel, and his omen, see how bad of an idea it is for anyone to come within range of him right now.]
no subject
[ Sure, it's easier. In some cases even necessary. But the Omen knows how stubborn Hakkai can be too, and considering the other's state.. he wants to accomodate Hakkai just a little bit here.
It can't be easy for Hakkai either, the creature thinks. ]
Perhaps some people have objects that could help. Or perhaps they could do something from a distance. [ The shisa's tail twitches. ] Would you allow me to look for help for you, as long as it does not threaten anyone?
no subject
illogical argument as to why he should be left along out here.][So he shakes his head. Sharply.]
I'm not taking objects from others. I won't deprive someone else of what they might need.
[Because clearly, others would need it more. It might actually be able to cure someone else. For him, there is no cure. There is no changing back. No one should waste their time on him like that. He can't allow it.]
So please. Leave this be.
no subject
[ Uh oh.
Saying his name like that does not bode well, does it. Though it might not follow with what Hakkai might have expected the Omen to say.. even if what the creature says in the end isn't that much better. ]
Are you trying to keep Daniel away for his sake, or for your own?
[ The troubles of a very direct Omen... ]
I do not mean just right now, due to this situation. I mean to ask this in general.
no subject
[A simple question. But the weight of it is important. The asking is important. Because if the Omen doesn't, then, well. He's going to have to elaborate, isn't he?]
It should be obvious, if so.
[The answer is for Daniel's sake. Completely. Daniel who is somehow convinced Hakkai is anything other than a monster himself. Who somehow believes he is a "good man", despite all evidence to the contrary.]
[Of course it's for his benefit!]
no subject
But maybe the shisa is instead thinking about how to word something else. ]
Daniel has terrible judgement in people.
[ Sorry, Daniel, calling you out.. ]
He is too desperate to trust. To want to see the good. Even when he is scared. [ Because the man does have trust issues that are a mile long, and the Omen obviously knows that.. ] He has trusted people before he should not have trusted. People who wanted to hurt him.
But you do not want to hurt him.
no subject
[Case in point, Hakkai himself.]
Of course I have no desire to hurt him. But that doesn't mean that I won't. Even if I don't want to.
[There's only one person he could never bring himself to hurt. Even in the depths of his demon-induced insanity. And it isn't Daniel. Unfortunately for the man's sake.]
It's safest this way. I am not a safe person to know.
no subject
[ Sure, there may be gradations of danger, but technically speaking? Every single person here is a powderkeg, able to transform into something that could kill and destroy everything around them at the slightest wrong spark.
It may be a negative way to view this place, but the Omen is just being realistic, really. ]
Besides, do you not think Daniel should be the one to make the choice himself whether he wants to deal with that danger or not?
no subject
[This is like two brick walls arguing. Politely, but still, arguing. He shouldn't have expected the omen to understand - it's a part of Daniel, after all.]
[He shakes his head, sharply.]
He'll choose something based on poor judge of character. He'll choose to stand by someone who poses him harm.
So... no. I do not think so.
no subject
You know what Daniel will do regardless.
[ Stand by Hakkai. Take care of him. Even if the other does try to push him away. ]
You know what he is like. [ The dog-lion-like creature's tail curls around himself a little bit. ] You cannot change his mind, just as I cannot do that either. I just wanted you to know. To understand Daniel. He often does not speak of what lies deepest in his heart.
