[He just sounds tired as he says that. Not even a real protest. Just an old argument he will never win.]

[HUFF HUFF. He's totally pouting. But closing his eyes.]

[He presses a kiss to Hakkai's shoulder.]

[Because he doesn't need any other explanation, really.]

[And with that, he settles in. Seeming for all the world like he's just going to drop off right then and there.]

[It's quiet.]

[It's peaceful.]

[And then Hakkai just fuckin sits up and plants one on Gojyo, before rolling over and intending to go back to sleep.]

[Gojyo's brain doesn't register what's happening at first, not fully. Oh, he registers the kiss well enough -- even chases Hakkai's mouth as he pulls away.

And it's not until he settles back down that what just happened settles in. He's frozen for a second. Blinks. A short laugh bursts from him without permission, and he curls back in around Hakkai.]

You're so fucking weird.

[But "weird" carries the weight of so much affection it sounds like something else entirely. Cute maybe, or hot. Really important to me. Whatever it is, Gojyo presses a kiss to the back of Hakkai's neck and feels more loved than he knows what to do with.]
